President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday in Abuja applauded the renewed
support from Britain and Switzerland for the recovery and repatriation
of public funds stolen from Nigeria.
At separate audiences with the new British and Swiss Ambassadors, who
were at the Presidential Villa to present their letters of credence,
President Buhari noted that British, Swiss and other foreign anti-crime

More details have emerged regarding the order by the UK Westminster Magistrate’s Court yesterday, October 5, to seize £27,000 from Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The seizure of £5,000 and $2,000 was also ordered from Diezani’s mother, Beatrice Agama, as well as £10,000 from another woman, Melanie Spencer.
Mrs. Alison-Madueke had been taken to the Charing Cross
Police station in London where she was booked, interrogated and later
granted bail. Our source in the UK disclosed that the former minister’s
international passport was taken from her to prevent her possible flight
from the UK.
